Insecurity: Egbuoma Community Stakeholders Appeals To Governor Uzodimma on Bring Back Naval Checkpoints Afor Egbuoma Junction

Giving the return of insecurity and killings in Oguta LGA, Critical Stakeholders from Egbuoma Autonomous Community are pleading with the Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, to bring back, Afor Egbuoma Junction Naval Checkpoints.

Speaking, Chief John Chukwuemeka, a concerned leader of the community said that the Naval Checkpoints in Egbuoma Community has remained a strong security Base before it was unceremoniously removed over three months ago.

According to him, since the removal of the military Checkpoints orchestrated by the alleged sponsors of the insecurity in the area in their flimsy accusations and petitions against the good work of the Naval Military personnel’s life has become unbearable for the residents of the community and their surroundings.

The incessant killings, miaming and other nefarious activities of the unknown gun men have necessitated to the clarion calls for bring back Afor Egbuoma Junction Naval Checkpoints an appealed by the stakeholders to the governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for the interest of the community.

He pointed out that, those backing the Insecurity in the area are allegedly from the palace of the late Eze Igwe in Council, Eze Anogbumba Okorieogbuehi continued refusal to parade selves after the demise of the monarch by empowering hoodlums to shade them in their shody adjudication and meddlesomeness in the Community affairs.

According to him, those benefiting from the nefarious activities of the gun men do not want the Naval Checkpoints Afor Egbuoma Junction and wish to continue to use the alleged opportunity to do perpetrate mayhem in the community.

He called on the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma to help the community as the Chief Security officer in Imo State to ensure security of lives and property as Egbuoma Community is strategic and a suburban gateway City to Imo and Anambra State respectively.

In which, he said that the community deserves thorough security outfit 24 hours operations as the Naval Checkpoints at Afor Egbuoma Junction was really doing well before they were abruptly removed.

Pointing out that, Oguta Lake serves as a hindrance and strict blockage to surveillances of the Naval Military personnel at Kalabari Beach Oguta 2 for prompt interventions across the Lake necessitating the appeals for immediate bring back Afor Egbuoma Junction Naval Military Checkpoint by the stakeholders to the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma
