The new leadership of the Imo State Security Bio-Metric Data Capture and Painting Committee, under Imo State Ministry of Transport, led by, Comrade Joel Chibuike, has promised to partner with commercial vehicle owners, Police and to operate with a human face to realize the objective of the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko) in the sector.
Chibuike, stated that, their goal is to work with commercial vehicle owners to capture their biometric data and paint their vehicles with the state’s colors, in line with the necessary enabling laws to get rid of insecurity and Criminality.
He emphasized the importance of getting an accurate count of all commercial vehicles operating in the state, to help the government plan for their welfare, including palliative care and other benefits.
Chibuike, noted that, only commercial vehicles with the state’s colors are recognized, and those without them are often used by criminals to perpetrate crimes.
To achieve their goals, the committee will, Capture the biometric data and paint the vehicles of commercial drivers who have not yet done so, Train and strategize their taskforce team to be more effective and less harmful to road users, Device alternative means of engagement to tackle stubborn drivers who refuse to comply.
The new State Chairman Security Biometric Data Capture and painting committee, Hon. Joel Chibuike urged commercial vehicle owners to visit the committee’s office at Real Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square (formerly Heroes Square) in Owerri, Imo State, with the necessary requirements to complete their security biometric data and painting capture obligation.
