AN OPEN LETTER TO THE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE DIST. SEN. HOPE UZODIMMA BY SPEAKER, IMO STATE YOUTH PARLIAMENT

by admin

Dear Leader Of APC Imo State,

On behalf of youth of Imo State, I write to you today with hope and conviction, emboldened by the strong leadership of our Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

First of all we start by thanking His Excellency, for his continued commitment to the welfare of the youth, as demonstrated by his appointments of Dr. Emeka Mandela as the commissioner of the Ministry of Youth and Talent Hunt and others.

It is our humble appeal to the Governor, as the leader of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State, to prevail upon the party to reduce the APC registration and nomination fees for youth by half for the councilorship race.

This decision is essential for several reasons. First, investing in the youth is investing in the future of our state and our nation. Second, the current fees act as a barrier to the participation of many young and visionary individuals in the local government elections, stifling our potential and depriving the state of a rich talent pool.

Furthermore, the APC should demonstrate its commitment to the youth by taking action that speaks louder than words.

We trust in the Governor’s leadership and his dedication to the welfare of the youth in Imo State and beyond.

We implore the Governor prevail on the state leadershio of APC to heed our demands and give the youth a chance to thrive.

We will not be deterred by obstacles or challenges. Our determination is fuelled by a vision of a better tomorrow.

We stand united, demanding that our needs be prioritized and our voices be heard. This is not a call for special treatment; it is a plea for justice and equity.

We, the youth of Imo State, have a message for those who seek to stifle our potential: their ploy will not work.

We will not be dissuaded by any attempts to silence our voices or hinder our progress.

We have a dream for Imo State, a dream that is built on the foundation of opportunity and empowerment.

The time has come for the youth to take their rightful place at the forefront of this state’s progress.

We call on the APC to join us in this journey, to recognise the value of our contributions. We have the passion, the vision, and the drive to lead our state into a brighter future.

With unwavering conviction and unyielding resolve, we the youth of Imo State, declare that we will not be held back.

Our demands are clear: a 50% reduction in registration and nomination fees for all youth contesting for councilorship.

We will not be marginalized, we will not be silenced, and we will not be ignored.

We are the youth, and we will not be defeated.

Before we take to the streets, as we raise our voices, as we make our demands heard, know that we are not just fighting for ourselves; we are fighting for a better future for Imo State.

The time for change is now. The time for justice is now. The time for the youth to lead is now.

This is our state, our future, our time.

To the APC Imo State, we say this: We are watching. We are waiting. We are ready.

We, the youth of Imo State, call on you to join us in this movement for change.

We will rise. We will build. We will succeed.
