“However, it is with a sense of urgency and concern that I must drawn your esteemed attention to the abandoned and neglected Awo-Omamma/Okwudor Road project. This pivotal road, which notably marked the inaugural flagship project of your administration, now languished in a state of ultermost despair, negligence and total abandonment.
“The strategic importance of this thoroughfare can not be overstated, it serves as a vital conduit linking major markets such as Afor Isieke, Nkwo Umuokwe, and Eke Okwudor”
“These markets are indispensable economic epicentres for traders and residents who rely on this arterial road for the transportation and procurement of essential food products.
“The current deplorable conditions of the Awo-Omamma/Okwudor Road has engendered severe challenges for traders and other road users. The insurmountable difficulties in transporting goods have not only devastated their livelihoods but also stymied economic activities in the region. This road is not merely a local pathway but a critical nexus between two federal constituencies, serving as a major gateway to Orlu, Owerri, Anambra and beyond”.
“Moreover, it is imperative to address the alarming activities of the contractors who have inexplicably abandoned this crucial project. While we unequivocally condemn any form of kidnapping or violence, it is crucial to reassure contractors of their safety and the community’s unyielding cooperation. Your prompt and decisive intervention is urgently needed to ensure that the contractors return to the site and expedite the completion of this indispensable project”.
“Your Excellency, the completion of the Awo-Omamma/Okwudor Road, is not merely a fulfilment of a gubernatorial promise but a vital necessity for the economic vitality and well-being of our people. Your esteemed leadership has already set an exemplary precedent in infrastructural development, and we earnestly trust that you will take immediate and resolute action to rectify this disconcerting situation.
