18 May 2024, IMSU Junction Accident Imo Leaders Mocking Victim’s, Bereaved To Score Cheap Political Points
Anselem Anokwute
It’s unacceptable for leaders to engage in blame-shifting and political grandstanding on the accident that consumed lives and property of Imo people last Saturday, 18 May 2024, at Imo State University Junction instead of taking responsibility and providing support to the affected families and individuals.
Accidents are indeed unplanned and unfortunate events that can happen to anyone and shouldn’t be used as an avenue for cheap political popularity
Your call to action is spot on – we should focus on providing succor, paying hospital bills, and offering financial assistance to those in need. It’s heartbreaking to hear that some individuals were more concerned with creating content for financial gain than helping the victims.
Let’s prioritize empathy, compassion, and kindness. We should strive to be our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers, especially in times of crisis. May we offer genuine support and condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured, rather than mere lip service. Independent observers will continue to watch. Think about it. Life has no duplicate, we are the Concern citizens
