….apologizes to the Electoral Umpire.

The National leadership of National Rescue Movement,NRM has disowned protests embarked upon by those it described as disgruntled elements of the Party who illegally stormed National Headquarters of Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC,Abuja and its Edo State Office between Thursday and Friday last week declaring omission of NRM Governorship Candidate for the forthcoming Edo State gubernatorial election.

Speaking to our Correspondent via cellphone on Tuesday, the National Chairman of NRM,Hon. Isaac Chigozie Udeh stated that the action of those unguilded Party men prompted the leadership of the Party to convene an emergency meeting and thereafter condemned such illegal protests.

Hon. Udeh recalled that same faces seen during the protests have been causing problems in the Party since 2019 till date.

He stated that conduct of guber Primary election is strictly restricted to the National Chairman of a political party duly recognized by INEC and Constitution of the Federal of Nigeria.

“Let me seize this opportunity to share Salah message with our Muslim brothers.
I bring you this message with joy and gratitude to GOD Almighty for being with us in this struggle to rescue our party from state of ridiculousness in the general public, INEC and the media houses in Nigeria since 2019 general election till date.
I want to use this medium to apologize to Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, the general public and the media for the show of shame in the name of protest that took place in Edo State INEC Office and INEC Headquarters Abuja between Thursday and Friday last week in the name of NRM. We are sorry for some indecent languages used against INEC Management, in such unapproved gathering in the name of NRM”.

“It is very clear that no amount of smartness, intimidation, blackmail and desperation can change illegality to legality as far as we are under the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I want to state it clearly that the leadership of our great Party, NRM was not aware of such protests, and hereby disowns it.
I am thanking all of you who stood on the side of truth and justice for the progress of our great Party, National Rescue Movement,NRM, which is not negotiable. I also appreciate all of you who had shown your tremendous support for the National Chairman and our great Father, our National Leader and the Chairman of Board of Trustees, Distinguished Senator Saidu Muhammad Dansandau. Honour must be given to whom it is due. We must accord him that deserved respect as the Founder of our party, NRM. May GOD Almighty preserve him for us with long life, good health and strength so that he will eat the fruit of his labour in our party, NRM”.

“I want to assure you that with GOD First in NRM, we are moving to advance level which is the position of the Fourth-Force amongst other political parties in Nigeria. But all hands must be on deck, we really have to work very hard to attain the desired height by the grace of GOD Almighty.
Let us use this Salah period to pray more to GOD to bless each and every one of us for our individual and collective contributions for the success of our great Party, NRM.
