Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State is now in a position to spearheads the economic revitalization of the South East region after being named the coordinator of activities by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leadership.
In a Press release from the Governor’s Aide and Special Adviser Media Hon Oguwike Nwachachukwu explained that , Governor Uzodimma, alongside five other governors, was inaugurated on Wednesday in Abuja by the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, to oversee activities in their respective zones.
His selection was based on his remarkable performance in fulfilling duties assigned to him by the Party at both national and subnational levels.
As the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Governor Uzodimma has exhibited capacity and competence, earning the respect and trust of his colleagues.
Even prior to his formal appointment as the coordinator of APC activities in the South East, Sen. Uzodimma was affectionately referred to as the “Governor General” of the Region due to his dedication to the welfare of his people and his commitment to fostering unity, peaceful coexistence, and shared economic and political interests in the South East.
Addressing his new role on social media, Governor Uzodimma emphasized his commitment to serving the Party and the nation by fostering unity within the APC and promoting economic growth in the South East.
Deputy National Chairman, South, of the APC, Chief Emma Enukwu, congratulated Governor Uzodimma, expressing confidence in his ability to effectively coordinate activities in the South East for desired outcomes.
Former Minister of Science and Technology (State), Chief Henry Ikoh, echoed Chief Enukwu’s sentiment, affirming Governor Uzodimma’s suitability for the role based on his mindset, capacity, competence, temperament, and influence in garnering support for the Party regionally and nationally.
Both Party leaders called for unwavering support for Governor Uzodimma in his additional role of serving the people.
