Orluzurumee Youth Assembly Honours KOMU VC with Excellence Award, Says the Institution Recorded Success Under his Watch

The Orluzurumee Youth Assembly has honoured the outgoing pioneer Vice Chancellor of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Prof. Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicious Dozie, with an Award of Excellence in Transformational Leadership, Educational Advancement and Youth Development.
The award was presented during the university’s Special Senate and Grand Valedictory/Sent-Forth Ceremony held on Saturday at Rockview Hotel Owerri Imo State.
Presenting the award, the National President of the Assembly, Prince Izunna Obiefule, described Prof. Dozie as a visionary administrator whose leadership had transformed the state-owned institution and contributed immensely to educational growth in Orlu Senatorial Zone.
According to him, the leadership and members of the youth body resolved to honour the Vice Chancellor in recognition of his contributions to the university’s development and academic excellence.
Speaking to Newsmen Prince Obiefule noted that under Prof. Dozie’s leadership, the university had witnessed stability, infrastructural growth and academic progress, adding that the institution currently boasts over 3,000 students with impressive academic records.
He further assured that the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, as the umbrella youth body in Orlu Senatorial Zone, would continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to promote quality education, youth empowerment and development.
“This honour reflects the appreciation of youths in Orlu Senatorial Zone for the stability and progressive transformation witnessed at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University at a time many institutions across the country are grappling with instability and declining standards,” he said.
He added that Prof. Dozie had demonstrated courage, administrative discipline and visionary leadership in repositioning the university for excellence.
The Assembly also commended the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the institution and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Prof. Jude Ogbulie, for the successful organisation of the sent-forth ceremony.
Responding, Prof. Dozie expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the recognition, describing the award as an encouragement to continue supporting initiatives that promote quality education, youth development and societal advancement.
