2027: Mbaike Consultative Assembly Endorses Mazi Chima Amadi
Describes Him as “Best Foot Forward” for Imo Governorship

By Anselem Anokwute, Owerri

The leadership and members of the Mbaike Consultative Assembly in collaboration with the coalition of Mbaitolu Progressives, have formally endorsed Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi for the Imo State governorship seat in the upcoming 2027 election.

Speaking during the endorsement held at the Team Mazi Organization (TMO) office in Owerri, the National President of the Assembly, Ambassador Steve Nnadi, described Dr. Amadi as “the best foot forward” to succeed Governor Hope Uzodimma, whose tenure ends in 2027.

Amb. Nnadi stated that after a comprehensive evaluation of potential candidates, the Assembly found Dr. Amadi to be a visionary leader with the competence and passion to transform the state. “Looking at the political trajectory of Imo since 1999, we’ve experienced a mix of slow and uncoordinated development. We believe that Dr. Amadi possesses the intellectual capacity, experience, and sincerity to change the narrative,” Nnadi said.

He praised Dr. Amadi’s humanitarian efforts, describing him as someone who has consistently used his resources and talent to uplift the underprivileged. “He is a scholar and a reform-minded leader whose track record speaks volumes. It’s time to rally behind someone who truly understands the needs of the people.”

In their separate remarks, other members of the Assembly commended Dr. Amadi’s leadership qualities, describing him as a “new sheriff in town” capable of rescuing Imo State from poor governance.

Comrade Uzoma Ekeanyanwu expressed full commitment to the project, stating, “Our principal, Dr. Chima Amadi, is a good man. Together with our DG, Chief Henry Onwukwe, and National Coordinator, we are ready to work tirelessly to secure his victory under the Mbaike Consultative Assembly.”

Hon. M.C. Nwaogu emphasized the need for practical development in the region, citing the lack of access roads in communities near the state capital. “Steve Nnadi has shown leadership by identifying the right candidate. We’re fully aligned with this cause.”

Also speaking, Engr. Henry Obiakor from Owerri West thanked the TMO leadership for welcoming the group. He called for early grassroots mobilization, urging the creation of ward, unit, and chapter coordinators. “We must take action to liberate Imo. Our votes must count. Enough of mismanagement and sharing of our commonwealth from Abuja,” he stated.

In his response, Chief Henry Onwukwe, Director General of Team Mazi Organization (TMO), appreciated the endorsement and assured the Assembly of their message reaching Dr. Amadi. He described Mbaike as a stronghold in electoral compliance and urged the group to extend the campaign across all 63 autonomous communities and 24 INEC wards in the constituency.

Chief Onwukwe emphasized that the endorsement would be remembered as a strategic move in the larger vision of revitalizing Imo State. “Dr. Amadi is a sure bet for Imo’s revival and progress,” he affirmed.

The ceremony concluded with the official decoration of the Mbaike Consultative Assembly members with TMO aprons and caps, symbolizing their commitment to the 2027 governorship project.
