Owerri Municipal Council Children’s Day Ends in Funfair As Hon. Emeribe Urges Children to Shun bad Behaviors, Crimes &Drug Abuse

The Mayor of Owerri Municipal council, Hon. Chidebere Emeribe has called on the Imo Youths , Pupils and children to lookup for better future and shun attitudes that will likely ruined their life.
Hon. Emeribe, stated this, during the 2025 International Children’s Day celebrations held at the Open Space in Owerri Municipal council, Ama- JK observed that most Youths loose focus and God’s purpose for them due to Pressure on their environments , Drugs , Crime and bad Company.
He admonished Imo Youths and Pupils to be mindful of their companionships so as not to be misled and pulled down.
The Youthful executive Chairman who now is the Mayor of the Capital City Counselled Nigerians especially Youths of Owerri Municipal to Look up as the 2025 International Children’s Day theme envisioned.
Hon. Emeribe refered Nigerian Youths to Holy Scriptures as written in Book of Corinthians 15: 33 .
He declared greatness to Owerri Municipal council Youths , adding that they are the Pride of Owerri with their future worth Protecting.
The Owerri Council helmsman reassured Owerri Municipal Constituents of the efforts of Imo state shared Prosperity government under distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma CON , as he has added new life for all Imolites with the Launch of Imo state Health Insurance scheme across the 27 LGAs . In his words, ” We are building a future that gives every Child a fair Chance to Succeed ”
Hon . Chidebere used the Opportunity to announce the commencement of the Imo State Health Insurance scheme across all Wards in Owerri Municipal, targeted at making affordable and efficient Health Care to all families at grassroots.
Speaking with Newsmen at the Council , Hon. Bolaji Yahaya, member from Yaruba Community who’s also the Supervisory Councilor for Education Owerri Municipal Council expressed Pleasures for Nigerian Children as gathered for their day. He advised Children to face their studies with dedication and diligence .
He commended the executive Chairman of Owerri Municipal for replicating eventful and impacting Programmes of governor Hope Uzodinma at Municipal council.
Results at the end of the Match past by schools in Owerri Municipal council placed Ikenegbu Primary School First amongst Primary Schools , Second position went to Urban Primary School 3. While 3rd Position went to Development Primary School 1.
Secondary School Cadre had IMO Girls Secondary School, Okigwe Road getting first position while Second Place went to Ikenegbu Girl’s Secondary School. Boys Model Secondary School Owerri got 3rd grade after the Council boss stood for the traditional Match past by School Children with their teachers.
