The Supreme Court land Mark judgement in Rivers local governments’ elections no doubt has thrown Imo state September 21st 2024 Local government Chairmen into confusion,

Chief Dr. Collins Chigozie Osuagwu, ADC Chairmanship Candidate in the September 21st 2024 IMO state Local govt elections who went to High Court , Owerri on suit No. HOW/ 1235 / 2024 presided over by Hon Justice Opara asking for declaration that his fundamental human rights were infringed by ISIEC and Imo state government as he was denied right of participation in casting lawful Votes to decide who should be Isiala -Mbano local government Chairman.

Chief Dr Collins Osuagwu’s counsel Chima Onwukwe who was asked to comment on the developments said he can not as the matter is still coming up on 11th. March 2025 in Owerri.

Investigations by our crime correspondent reveals that Imo state Local Councils chairmen are on their toes .
This development has sent shivers into the spin of most Local govt Chairmen as they now hide from public glare .
Reports across the 27 Local government Councils unveils despondency, confusion and anxiety even amongst council staffers and locals as the Supreme Court land Mark judgement in Rivers State May likely invalidate the 21st 2024 Imo state Local government Councils election which many reports describe as poorly organized by ISIEC under Chief Charles Ejiogu and Imo state government.
Recall that many people and parties went to court challenging the Processes with numerous breaches of the ISIEC and Constitutional rights of citizens .
Chief Dr. Collins Chigozie Osuagwu in his case HOW / 1235 / 2024 is asking the honourable Court to declare that his Fundamental human rights were infringed as he was denied of participating in the elections, after fulfilling all the conditions and guidelines of the Electoral empire.

The Owerri high Court is adjudicating on 11th. March 2025 as ISIEC is standing as defendants. Sources from government House quiped that discussions on this development took center stage when local government Chairmen and Councilors from the 305 wards met last Thursday in Douglas House
