Imo Governor’s Aide on Land Recovery Arrested Land Racketeers,Equipments Seize

Hon. Paschal Nwakamma, the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Land Recovery, has made a significant breakthrough in combating land racketeering in Imo State.
On Monday, December 2, 2024, he arrested three individuals allegedly involved in government land theft along the Alaoma Layout in Owerri.
While handing over the suspects to the Imo State Police Command, Nwakamma emphasized that those who continue to invade government land despite warnings will face consequences.
He also revealed that the Imo State government is working to ensure that available land is allocated to deserving citizens, while cracking down on land piffering, racketeering, and theft.
Nwakamma’s efforts are part of Governor Uzodimma’s broader initiatives to tackle land racketeering and restore stolen lands to the masses. The governor has also established a dedicated unit focused on land recovery, which has worked tirelessly to identify and reclaim unlawfully acquired lands
The Imo State government’s commitment to land recovery and transparency is evident in Nwakamma’s actions. As a paragon of transparency and accountability, he has demonstrated his dedication to the vision of the government.
The arrested individuals claimed they were using bulldozers to open up roads in the layout, but Nwakamma questioned their motives, asking how individuals could take it upon themselves to create roads on government land without authorization.
