The leadership and management of Imo based Pharmacies under the aegis of Association of Community Pharmacy of Nigeria, (ACPN), State branch, has successful ends it’s one day Business Summit last Wednesday at Rock View Hotel Owerri Imo State to educate and intimate her members on the new business ideas and technology using Android Phones.
Centered on the need to expand the horizons of business scope amongst members to create new business ideas and knowledge for the members to face the consequences of the prevalent economic challenges in Nigeria in line with the policies of the regulations.
Speaking, Dr Chigozie Agbarusi said that the Association of Community Pharmacy of Nigeria are a technical group, under, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria with the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria as the regulations Agency.
According to him, ACNP are the Pharmacist practicing at the community level with outlets or stores and a place to attend to the patient drug needs.
Dr. Agbarusi said that the Imo State business summit was imperative to educate the members to the business aspect of the practice with the current economic challenges in Nigeria.
The program was tagged “How To get a Better practice in a dwindling Economy”
It was a huge success with the National President, Pharmacist Prince Adewale Oladigbolu and the National Vice Pharmacist Mrs. Bridget Otote in attendance with the Abuja, Rivers and Abia State branch Chairmen also in attendance.
While the Chairman of the occasion, Pharmacist Uche Akpakama Came from Onisha branch to install in Imo State members to desired business ideas and knowledge to move the sector forward.
According to him the success of the occasion was reflected with the regulations Agencies in the program like the representative of the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria and NAFDAC, by the Imo State Coordinator, Mrs.Ndukwe.
While the Panelists drawn from various sectors of the society including the Members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Manufacturer Association of Nigeria made the event memorable and successful .
Dr. Agbarusi specially thank the participants including his Executive’s and the organizers for making the event successful and urged them to put into practice the knowledge the gathered from the business summit to serve the people of Imo State better.
Addressing Newsmen, A Discussants and Daughter of the former Ideato North House Members, Late Mrs Obigaeri Eudora Nnadumije Igwe, Pharmacist Lonny Nnadumije Nwosu, Managing Directors Regan Remedies LTD and Eudora Pharmaceuticals Industry LTD, thank the organizers for a well thought out program, probably to expand the business scope of the members of Imo State Association of Community pharmacy of Nigeria (ACPN) against the prevalent insecurity and economic challenges.
She expressed confidence in ACPN leadership in Imo State, Of which, she is a member and called on their members to move forward on how best to expand their business ideas to accommodate other businesses and help the growth of the community.
“We need to expand our own scope not to box ourselves by keeping on the practice of expansion methodology as we learned and to upgrade our practitioners technique”.
“We came to synergize with our professional colleagues on the need for strategic planning and practical approaches to our business in a dwindling economy or in the hard time” we have it now as a way to go on the better ways to handle each other right. Because we need ourselves to grow the society”.
