Central School Izombe in Oguta Council Area of Imo State filled to its brim on Friday 7th June,2024 as the member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu distributed palliatives, incentives in seedlings to farmers as well as other household food items.
Hon. Dibiagwu who is the House Committee Chairman on Niger Delta Ministry through his address stated that as a mandate holder for the great people of Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency of Imo State,he is personally and officially challenged and obligated to identify with his people, especially the farmers knowing that his Federal Constituency is foundationally agrarian as well as the downtrodden, the widows, orphans, and indeed all the identified vulnerable groups within his Constituency through intervention in some social areas of existence.
He recalled that during the electioneering period,his Team toured every nook and cranny of the Federal Constituency with assurances of introducing freshest air in legislative representation as well as political leadership and in economic coordination for overall prosperity, development and empowerment.
According to him,”the selection of the persons and families as beneficiaries in the various wards and communities of the Federal Constituency either as farmers or as families would be done and executed including the distributions by the president of the Town Unions, youth leaders as well as wards and communities ‘ coordinators of Hon.Dibiagwu Eugene Campaign Organization and supervised by the Central Organizing Committee headed by Hon. Cassidy Ohamara.
The overall drive is to partner with and complement the commendable efforts and actions of the Imo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma’s intention to lift out our people from hunger and starvation and helping to deepen the growing renaissance in massive food security and sufficiency”.
The Federal lawmaker seized the opportunity to thank his people for giving him their mandates to represent them in the Green Chamber promising them more mega empowerment scheme on or before December this year.
Addressed the marmot crowd,the member representing Oguta State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly,Hon. Gilbert Nwosu noted that the empowerment scheme and palliatives came at the time people needed them most describing Hon. Dibiagwu as a politician with utmost swag.
While the Sole Administrator of Oguta LGA and his Ohaji/Egbema counterpart thanked the Federal lawmaker for the kind gesture.
