A non governmental Organization under the aegis of Imo Transparency Initiative has said that unwarranted media attack, defamatory statements and campaign of calumny on the person of, Hon Paschal Nwakanma the special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Land Recovery recently by some faceless individuals is uncalled for and urged them to desist from destroying people hard earned image.
The Group made the disclosure in a press statement issued over the weekend which was signed by its coordinator Barr. John Akuneho and Secretary Tpl Chuks Anusiem and made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, the group explained the that such attack on Hon. Nwakanma is aimed at tarnishing his hard earned reputation.
They made it clear that going by their findings, having investigated the activities of Hon Nwakanma for something now as the Special Adviser on land recovery to Gov. Hope Uzodinma, the young man really meant well for Ndi Imo and therefore describe the media attack as the handwork of enemies of progress as all issues raised at said publication are total false, very untrue and malicious.
Imo Transparency Initiative group were emphatic that if the sponsors the the defamatory publication would notice, realize and evaluate the good job which God is using Hon. Nwakanma and his men to do for Ndi Imo particularly in the recovery of landed government properties which rightly belongs to every imo citizens but were cornered by few individuals for the benefit of their families alone, they will not only thank and appreciate Nwakanma and Gov. Uzodinma for the job well done for saving the state from the hand of hawkers and land grabbers but would certainly front a call to ensure that these perpetrator are brought to book as the real enemies of the State.
The group therefore warned that Hon Nwakanma should be leave alone to concentrate in carrying out his assignment dutifully as such publications are distracting or they will have no option than to launch reprisal media attack on these Detractors aimed at exposing them, their evil deeds and their sponsors
