Imo State Polytechnic’s Rector, Prof. Kanayo Stephen Chukwuka, has categorically denied allegations of financial scandal, describing them as falsehood and malicious attempt to tarnish his reputation.
In a press release issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Prince Darlington Oparaocha, the management vehemently refuted the claims, labeling them as baseless and unfounded.
The allegations, published in a tabloid on May 8, 2024, falsely accused the Rector of diverting millions into a private bank account. However, the management has clarified that these claims are entirely fabricated, with no factual basis.
The press release emphasized that Imo Poly Omuma is not under investigation by any financial crime institutions in Nigeria, dispelling any notions of impropriety within the institution.
By swiftly addressing the allegations and providing a clear statement refuting them, the management reaffirms its commitment to accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct.
