Ongoing Imo Skills Acquisition Centre: Senator Onyewuchi Expresses Satisfactions With Work

The Senator Representing Imo East Senatorial District, Owerri Zone, Distinguished Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, has carried out an on the spot assessment visit to the skills Acquisition Training Center in Owerri North Local Government Area headquarters Uruatta, Imo State.
The lawmaker, after being taken round the building commended the engineer handling the project and expressed his satisfactions with the level of work done, and called for consistent.
He encouraged the engineer to work harder in order to ensure timely delivery of the project within the stipulated period so that it could be put into effective use for the benefit of the people of the zone and state in general.
Responding, the engineer reassured that the project will be delivered on stipulated time and thanked Distinguished Senator Onyewuchi for provisions of the needed logistics and keeping the environment conducive for them.
The ongoing skills training centre is another strategic intervention project single handedly conceived and implemented by the lawmaker for the people of Owerri Zone as well as the Chairman Senate Committee on National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, for the purpose of institutionalizing his fundamental policy of human capital and infrastructure development.
He believes that amidst the dwindling public sector job creation potentials, the most potent and effective strategy to tackling spiralling unemployment in his zone,is to leverage on skills acquisitions and empowerment schemes, to pull his constituents out of unemployment and poverty saga.
Which he was able to adopt serious strategy to meet such encouraging obligations, with his laudable and prominent to construct and equipped the skill Acquisition Training centre and regular training and empowerment of women and youths with necessary start up tools.
When completed the ongoing centre will further raise the number of skills training centres already delivered, as two ICT centres have been commissioned at Government College Owerri, and St John’s Anglican Church Umuguma.
It’s also expected that the centre will also go a long way in making the policy more sustainable, while also significantly raising quality assurance, as the centre will be fully equipped with the best of equipments in the market, and staffed with topnotch professionals as trainers.
