MBAISE MONARCHS COMMEND UZODIMMA OVER ROAD PROJECT, SEEK COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Traditional rulers in Mbaise Local Government Areas of Imo State have expressed appreciation to Governor Hope Uzodimma for facilitating the rehabilitation of the Aba Branch Ehime Mbano, Eke-Ahiara–Okpala NDDC reconstruction road project.
The monarchs gave the commendation during an inspection of ongoing work on the road in company with the contractor, Rudo Construction Company Ltd, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Chief Tony Chukwu.
The inspection covered critical sections of the road, including Eke-Ahiara, Aboh, Umunama, Obama, Chokoneze, Uvuru and Okpala junction, identified as major problem areas requiring urgent intervention.
Speaking during the visit, the traditional ruler of Ihiteaforukwu Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Dr. Devine Okwudiri Nwandu (Akaraka III), who led other royal fathers, said the project would alleviate the long-standing hardship faced by commuters and boost economic activities in the area.
He noted that the road serves as a vital link for several communities and contributes significantly to the state’s economy, adding that the engagement of a reputable contractor has renewed confidence in the project’s timely completion.
Eze Nwandu also commended the contractor for compliance with project specifications and urged continued commitment to quality delivery. He emphasized the need for proper drainage systems along the route to ensure durability.
The monarchs further called on residents to cooperate with the contractors to facilitate smooth execution of the project.
Also speaking, the site engineer, Engr. Ben of Rudo Construction Company Ltd, appealed for sustained community support, assuring that the project would be delivered on schedule.
Other traditional rulers present, including the Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze Sabinus Nwaneche, and the Chairman of Ndieze Mbaise, HRH Eze Mike Ndudiri Orji, Eze Reginald Amadi expressed satisfaction with the inspection and commended Eze Nwandu for his leadership and commitment to the development of Mbaise.
