A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, Mazi Franklin Ngoforo, has declared his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging to mobilise massive grassroots backing for the President in the area.
Ngoforo made the declaration on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, during the inauguration of the Ideato North chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Local Government Headquarters in Urualla. The event attracted party stakeholders, community leaders, and supporters from across the council area.
Addressing the gathering, Ngoforo said the administration of President Tinubu has recorded notable achievements since assuming office, particularly in the area of economic and fiscal reforms. He noted that these policies have strengthened the financial capacity of state governments, enabling them to deliver development projects and improved services to citizens.
The Arondizuogu-born politician urged residents of Ideato North to recognise and support the ongoing reforms, which he said are laying the foundation for national recovery and long-term growth.
He also commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for what he described as visible developmental strides recorded in the state over the past two years. According to him, the progress achieved by the state government has been bolstered by the support and cooperation of the Federal Government.
Ngoforo further highlighted the appointment of Governor Uzodimma as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors nationwide, describing it as a demonstration of the President’s confidence in the governor and goodwill towards Imo State. He called on the people of Ideato North to reciprocate the gesture by supporting the administration.
In his remarks, the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Goodluck Nanah Opiah, expressed satisfaction with the turnout at the event, describing it as an indication of the people’s growing interest in the President’s programmes.
Opiah stated that the group’s mandate is to promote and communicate the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration at the grassroots level, adding that such efforts are essential in bridging the gap between government and the people.
Also speaking, the Local Government Coordinator of the group, Chief Chidiebere Egboh, said the council area is fully prepared to mobilise support for the President. He urged residents, regardless of political affiliation, to support efforts aimed at national development.
Prince Collins Opurozor, Special Adviser to the Governor on New and Electronic Media, pledged to leverage digital platforms to further amplify the achievements of the administration.
The inauguration of the Ideato North chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is seen as part of broader efforts by the APC to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of future political engagements. Participants at the event expressed optimism and commitment to the objectives of the group.
