Mbaitoli Former IMC-Chairman John Eke Congratulates Governor Uzodimma on Book Launch, Infrastructure Strides, and Other Landmark Achievements

The former Interim Management Committee Chairman of Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Hon. John Eke, has congratulates and commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his remarkable achievements across Imo State, describing him as a visionary leader committed to sustainable development.
Speaking to journalists in Owerri, Chief Eke praised Governor Uzodimma’s leadership qualities, calling him “a God-ordained and well-prepared governor” whose tenure has delivered meaningful progress and democratic dividends to the people of Imo State.
He particularly lauded the Governor’s recent launch of a book documenting the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the past decade, describing it as a bold intellectual contribution and a reflection of Uzodimma’s loyalty and dedication to the party’s ideals. According to Chief Eke, the publication further cements the Governor’s growing national influence, including his bid for leadership positions within the APC Governors’ Forum.
Chief Eke also highlighted the Governor’s transformational infrastructure projects, which earned him the prestigious title of Infrastructure Governor of the Year. He cited several key projects such as the Assumpta Flyover, the newly constructed Owerri–Mbaise–Umuahia Road, the reconstruction of the Concorde Nicon Hotel, and the iconic Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC) as evidence of Uzodimma’s commitment to long-lasting development.
“These projects are not just structures, they are symbols of a new Imo rising under Governor Uzodimma,” Eke said.
He emphasized that the Governor’s performance is even more commendable considering the challenges faced early in his administration, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the EndSARS protests, and security threats from unknown gunmen. Despite these obstacles, Eke noted, Governor Uzodimma has steered the state toward growth, peace, and grassroots development.
Chief Eke further stated that members of the former State’s Interim Management Committees are proud to be associated with the Governor’s success story. He noted that skeptics who doubted Uzodimma’s capabilities at the start of his administration have now been proven wrong.
The former chairman concluded by celebrating the recent visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Imo State for the commissioning of several of the Governor’s legacy projects, describing it as national validation of Uzodimma’s stellar performance and good governance.
