A Frontline philanthropist and community leader in Okigwe zone, High Chief Collins Osuagwu PhD, has made bold his resolve to restore absolute peace and unity amongst communities in Umuebie , Ugiri Isiala Mbano with Sports as an instrument.
High Chief Dr Collins Osuagwu, chairman / CEO of ZEUS Marine Oil and gas Europe while speaking at the grand finale of 2024 Umuebie Unity Cup over the weekend disclosed that no society or nation advances without unity , peace and love for one another.
The business Morgul who has passion for youths stated that upliftment of most societies in advanced Climes has been achieved through Sports. High Chief Dr Collins Osuagwu who got honoured as Nmiri N’ariugwu recently said he donated the trouphy worth more than #3 M to encourage youths and community leaders to work towards the development of UMUEBIE Ugiri Mbano with winners going home with Five hundred thousand, runners up #300’000. Third place #200, 000. Fourth place #50,000 while consolation were given to other participants.
The final match at Central school Umuebie was between Umu -OparaDim and Umu-Dimemeka as OparaDim clinched the trouphy with a lone goal against Umudimemeka.
One guest , Ambassador Gin Godson Nwosu from Umunjam Mbieri at the ceremony who spoke with Journalists lauded High Chief Dr Collins Osuagwu for his philanthropy as he appealed to government to assist communities set up standard sporting Facilities.
He described Dr. Chief and Lolo Chioma Collins Osuagwu as Pace setters in community Developments.
Presenting the trouphy to the 2024 Champions , Chief Osuagwu charged them to be at Peace with everybody .
In his words, next edition will be better organized and a car would be at stake for the best team.
