The Imo State Ministry of Transport has Restructure team of Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIOs) to help reposition the transport sector.
The team was retrained and Restructured by the Ministry’s Vehicles Inspection Officer, Hon. Engr. Chuks Okwaraejiaku, also known as Babanture on Sunday 11 August,2024, at the Parade ground of Ndubuisi Kanu Square Owerri Imo State.
The Restructured VIO team will be responsible for ensuring optimal service delivery and improving support for the ministry, in line with Governor Hope Uzodimma’s 3R vision.
The VIO office is now located at the Ndubuisi Kanu Square, formerly Heroes Square, in Owerri, The office will focus on supporting the state government in transforming the transport sector, with an emphasis on safety and adherence to the ministry role of engagements.
Engr. Okwaraejiaku commended Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Dr. Chika Benson Abazu, for his administrative achievements and commitment to transforming the transport sector.
He also praised Governor Uzodimma for his efforts in rehabilitating and reconstructing major roads in Imo State, including the Owerri to Okigwe and Owerri to Orlu roads, as well as the ongoing Owerri to Umuahia and other internal link roads.
