Continuous detention of the Leader of the Pro-Biafra group, Independent People of Biafra, (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been condemned by the Youth groups who commended the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for leading his brother governors in South East Zone to plead with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to release their brother from the DSS Cell over Five years ago.
Speaking, President of Imo State Council of Autonomous Community Youth Presidents, Hon. JohnKennedy Ezerie Okpoko, commended the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko) and his brother governors from the zone for taking such a bold step to exonerate their brother Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from the shackles and hook national bondage for asking for the actualization of independent state of his people.
He maintained that such action will expedite the easy release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and grant him freedom from the continuous incarceration and allowed him to reunite with his family and well wishers.
In his words, “We the leadership of Imo State Council of Autonomous Community Youth Presidents are Commending our Governor, Dist Sen Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko) Executive Governor Imo State and also the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and his brother Governors on their great moves to ensure peace release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu through dialogue”.
“The Youth Presidents mostly commended our Youth friendly governor and Chairman of South Eastern Governors Forum for such wonderful thought out positive steps and prayed God to give them more courage to achieve it”.
According to the State Youth Coordinator, Comrade Johnkennedy Ezerie Okpoko, expresses confidence in the capacity of the governor, His Excellency Dist Sen Hope Uzodimma for taking the bold step to meet President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to ensure that the Leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released from the prison as such action will sooner than later yield a positive result.
